Kannada is one of the oldest and crucial branches of the humanities.  It is taught as one of optional subjects for B.A., Degree students since the establishment of the college in 1967. Since 2004 “Indian Constitution” is taught as a compulsory subject for B.A. Language with Optional Kannada, B.Sc., B.Com. and B.B.M. I & II year Language classes. Previously many of the dedicated teachers served to the best of their ability and contributed to the academic progress of the department.  Its academic progress is helpful to gaining past and present civic knowledge to the students and teachers.
